Ihre Urspr\u00fcnge reichen bis ins <strong>12. Jahrhundert<\/strong> zur\u00fcck, auch wenn das heutige Bauwerk nach der Zerst\u00f6rung der urspr\u00fcnglichen Kirche im Jahr <strong>1580<\/strong> neu errichtet wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Im Inneren bewahrt die Kirche ein bedeutendes k\u00fcnstlerisches Erbe. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die pr\u00e4chtige <strong>Holzdecke<\/strong> mit dem Gem\u00e4lde des <strong>Martyriums des Heiligen Matth\u00e4us<\/strong> von <strong>Paolo De Maio<\/strong>, das Altarbild der <strong>Madonna in Herrlichkeit zwischen den Heiligen Matth\u00e4us und Andreas<\/strong> sowie ein kostbares <strong>Kruzifix aus dem 15. Jahrhundert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Bis heute bildet die Kirche das religi\u00f6se und kulturelle Zentrum der Gemeinde von Bomerano und ist ein bedeutender Ort des Glaubens, der Geschichte und der Kunst.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kuriosit\u00e4t<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Die <strong>Kirche des Heiligen Matth\u00e4us<\/strong> beherrscht den Hauptplatz von Bomerano und ist seit Jahrhunderten der wichtigste Treffpunkt der Gemeinde. Jedes Jahr am <strong>21. Le prime notizie risalgono al 1158, che la riportavano ubicata a sud-ovest dell\u2019antico abitato di Bomerano, uno dei quattro casali nei quali risultava suddivisa Agerola in epoca medievale.
