Obwohl ihr genaues Entstehungsdatum nicht bekannt ist, reichen ihre Urspr\u00fcnge weit zur\u00fcck.<\/p>\n<p>Die Kirche besitzt ein einschiffiges Langhaus mit eleganten Stuckverzierungen und Seitenkapellen, die den Einfluss des neapolitanischen Barocks widerspiegeln. Auf dem Hauptaltar befindet sich eine wertvolle <strong>polychrome Terrakottaskulptur der Madonna<\/strong>, die \u2013 wenn auch mit gewissen Vorbehalten \u2013 der Schule von <strong>Luca Della Robbia<\/strong> zugeschrieben wird.<\/p>\n<p>Im Inneren befindet sich au\u00dferdem eine Statue des <strong>Heiligen Franziskus von Assisi<\/strong>, dessen Fest am <strong>4. Oktober<\/strong> in Campora mit einer traditionsreichen Feier begangen wird. Zu diesem Anlass werden die typischen <strong>\u201endorze\u201c<\/strong>, gekochte Kastanien und Maiskolben, verteilt \u2013 ein Brauch, der bis heute lebendig geblieben ist.<\/p>\n<p>Die Kirche stand einst unter dem Patronat der Familie <strong>Vito Antonio d&#8217;Acampora<\/strong> und wird heute von den Erben der Familie <strong>Mascolo<\/strong> betreut. Nach den schweren Sch\u00e4den durch das Erdbeben von Irpinia im Jahr 1980 wurde das Geb\u00e4ude vollst\u00e4ndig restauriert.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kuriosit\u00e4t<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jedes Jahr am <strong>4. Oktober<\/strong>, dem Fest des Heiligen Franziskus von Assisi, lebt in Campora eine alte Tradition wieder auf: die Verteilung der <strong>\u201endorze\u201c<\/strong>, einer typischen Spezialit\u00e4t aus gekochten Kastanien und Maiskolben.
