Sie befindet sich in der N\u00e4he des <strong>Palazzo Lauritano<\/strong> und stammt h\u00f6chstwahrscheinlich aus der Zeit zwischen dem 17. und 18. Jahrhundert.<\/p>\n<p>Die Kapelle ist dem <strong>Heiligen Christophorus<\/strong>, dem Schutzpatron der Reisenden, gewidmet. Seine Verehrung war in dieser Gegend besonders verbreitet, da Agerola seit Jahrhunderten von den alten Wegen durchzogen wurde, die die Amalfik\u00fcste mit dem Hinterland verbanden.<\/p>\n<p>Trotz ihrer schlichten Architektur bewahrt die Kapelle die Erinnerung an den Glauben, die Traditionen und die Volksfr\u00f6mmigkeit der \u00f6rtlichen Gemeinschaft.
