It stands on the site of an ancient church dedicated to <strong data-start=\"658\" data-end=\"675\">Saint Lazarus<\/strong> and preserves an important historical, artistic and religious heritage.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"749\" data-end=\"1050\">The interior, divided into <strong data-start=\"776\" data-end=\"791\">three naves<\/strong>, is enriched by elegant altars, the evocative <strong data-start=\"838\" data-end=\"867\">statue of the Dead Christ<\/strong>, works of art from the ancient <strong data-start=\"899\" data-end=\"921\">Convent of Cospiti<\/strong>, and the precious <strong data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"982\">14th-century double-sided marble cross<\/strong>, regarded as one of the church&#8217;s most important artistic treasures.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1052\" data-end=\"1244\">Thanks to its historical significance and its continuous role in religious life, the church remains a fundamental landmark for the spiritual, cultural and social life of the Agerola community.<\/p>\n<p data-section-id=\"1f33i26\" data-start=\"1246\" data-end=\"1263\"><strong>Did You Know?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1265\" data-end=\"1708\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The church preserves a rare <strong data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1335\">14th-century double-sided marble cross<\/strong>, originally from the ancient <strong data-start=\"1365\" data-end=\"1387\">Convent of Cospiti<\/strong>, one of the most valuable works in Agerola&#8217;s artistic heritage. For many years, a small shrine containing a <strong data-start=\"1496\" data-end=\"1512\">wooden cross<\/strong> stood at the foot of the bell tower. Today, this cross is displayed on the <strong data-start=\"1588\" data-end=\"1602\">high altar<\/strong>, bearing witness to the long history and many transformations of this sacred building over the
