The building features a bright <strong data-start=\"616\" data-end=\"631\">single nave<\/strong>, enriched with elegant stucco decorations, side altars and a refined <strong data-start=\"701\" data-end=\"736\">high altar in polychrome marble<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"739\" data-end=\"1164\">Among its most important works of art is the <strong data-start=\"784\" data-end=\"822\">painting of Saint Nicholas of Bari<\/strong>, attributed to the renowned Neapolitan painter <strong data-start=\"870\" data-end=\"888\">Andrea Vaccaro<\/strong>, together with other valuable examples of <strong data-start=\"931\" data-end=\"958\">17th-century sacred art<\/strong>. Outside, the characteristic <strong data-start=\"988\" data-end=\"1008\">historic portico<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1013\" data-end=\"1027\">bell tower<\/strong> reflect the church&#8217;s long history, which continues to make it an important religious and cultural landmark for the community of Agerola.<\/p>\n<p data-section-id=\"1f33i26\" data-start=\"1166\" stesso nome era simbolico della sua localizzazione. Ponte era la borgata che, posta la centro di Agerola fungeva da snodo e collegamento per le quattro frazioni: Pianillo, Campora, Bomerano, San Lazzaro.
