Featuring a small bell tower and a single nave, the interior has arches on the side walls resting on small masonry columns. Above the altar hangs a polychrome oil painting depicting St Michael in the act of piercing the devil. The work by the 17th-century painter Andrea Malinconico features very vivid colours.<\/p>\n<p>The structure of this small building is typical of the ancient churches of Agerola; indeed, one can observe the vertical alignment of the external walls with a right-angled trapezoidal cross-section, the small window and the arch above the portal \u2013 which must originally have protruded much further \u2013 as well as some reinforcing buttresses.<\/p>\n<p>The fa\u00e7ade takes on a \u2018simply monumental\u2019 appearance: a stone staircase with wide steps raises it above its immediate la sepoltura nella fossa eretta a sue spese nel pavimento, come testimonia la lapide di marmo apposta sulla chiusura. Dotata di un piccolo campanile ed un\u2019 unica navata, ha al suo interno, sulle pareti laterali, archi poggianti su colonnine in muratura. Sull\u2019altare \u00e8 collocata una tela policroma a olio raffigurante San Michele nell\u2019atto di trafiggere il demonio.
