Description

Capo Muro is one of the most distinctive spots in the Agerola mountain area and is a much-loved stop for hikers following the trails of the Monti Lattari. The route passes through woods, rocky slopes and high-altitude landscapes, offering an immersive experience of nature and truly captivating panoramic views.

The area is also known for its distinctive limestone formations, including the characteristic ‘Fungo di Capo Muro’ (Capo Muro Mushroom), a large boulder shaped over time by the elements and now one of the landmarks along the route to Monte Tre Calli and Punta Paipo. From here, you can continue along various hiking trails that link some of Agerola’s most picturesque natural sites.

Interesting fact

The Fungo di Capo Muro is one of the most recognisable rock formations in the Lattari Mountains. Its shape, sculpted over the centuries by wind and water erosion, has become a landmark for hikers following the trails between Punta Paipo, Monte Tre Calli and Colle Garofalo.
